Happy Second Day of Winter!

Well hello there readers! Happy second day of Winter! I hope you all are enjoying it with a cup of hot cocoa, a fleece blanket, and book. I know a lot of people are sad about winter but just think...now the days are going to get long! And we are just that much closer to spring and summer.

Long time no talk huh? Needless to say my life has taken a huge turn in the past 3 and a half months which is why I left you all hanging back in August. So here is a quick update on how things are going in my life.

First off, you all know, or you newer readers may not know, I got married! Whoo hoo! Married life is swell and definitely much more fun than dating. A lot more work than dating but the extra work is a small price to pay! The wedding went very smoothly and we honeymooned in the Bahamas. The Bahamas were amazing! Warm, white sand, seafood, and best of all no cell service! After the stress of planning the wedding it was so nice to have no contact with email, social media, or anyone really. By the end of the week we were ready to come back home. The sign of a true vacation.

So when we got back home I immediately started a new full time job. I am so thankful for this job. Not only is it full time with benefits it is in my career field of political science. Awesome!

And good news for you all now that we are all settled in I have been cooking more. More cooking equals more  blog posts! Yay rah! Tomorrow morning I will be posting some really easy and fast Christmas treats. So come back tomorrow and check it out. You can look for updates on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. I'm a social media type of girl!

Remember back forever ago when I said in the new year I wanted to run the 500 Festival Mini Marathon? Well...I signed up! My training program has been set up and we are 19 weeks away from the wave of the flag. I'm not sure which day of the week it will be but I plan to do a weekly update on how things are going/what I have been doing. I know my readers from Sparkpeople enjoy that sort of thing and maybe my other venues to. There is also the accountability aspect. So if you see me, feel free to ask how it's going!

Alright, that's enough for now. I"ll be back tomorrow with a Christmas post!
