Camera Effects

After a much needed update of software on my phone I finally took the time to do some experimenting with options and effects. And I must say I finally have taken some pictures that I think are pretty decent! I am no where near the level of a professional, but I am fine to bask in the glory of my amateur photography. Haha

The subjects of my photo shoot today are some zinnias from the flower bed in our front yard. For the past five months my mom has been scouring the local Goodwill and garage sales for vases for the center pieces for my wedding. And consequently we now have tons of various shaped vases for decoration around the house.

After taking about 1246 pictures here are a few that I have deemed blog-worthy.

The first one here has been taken with the "high contrast" effect applied to it. It gives the picture a much deeper motif and really brings out the various colors of the zinnas.

Side note: Don't you just love zinnias? It seems like no two are alike and they are come in various shapes, sizes and colors.

Goodness, I really love zinnias!

I'm sure the fact that my blog and photos gave nothing away to that fact!

Ok, back to the pictures.

This one here was taken with the solarized effect. Don't mind the random electical covers. Our house is under construction for Thanksgiving.

Yes, I did say Thanksgiving.

That story is for another time.

One of my favorite effects has to be over exposure. To me it has much more depth then the regular grayscale.

Gives pictures a more elegant feel don't ya think?

And lastly, here is one with the polarized effect.

I feel like these two effects are similar. I don't know enough about them to explain them yet. But it seems like the polarize effect brings out the darker colors and then the oppisite for the solarized.

If you know what these are and would like to fill me in it would be greatly appreciated!

Hope you are all having a great weekend! Don't forget to take a lot of pictures!
